Conventions/Seminars/Meetings

Novelist, playwright, journalist, screenwriter for cinema and television, TV presenter, Carlo Lucarelli is one of the authors who has most contributed to the international success of the Italian contemporary crime novel.
Figures of unforgettable investigators were born from his pen, protagonists of popular series of novels translated into many languages. Many of these novels have become films for TV series for which the author wrote the script.
For many years he has been the presenter of the popular Italian TV programme about crime Blu notte - Misteri d'Italia (Blue Night - Mysteries of Italy) that analysed news stories, investigations into disasters, and serial killings of the last fifty years of Italian history. Lucarelli edited similar formats on other television stations and even in his intense activity as an essayist he has explored issues close to those dealt with in television broadcasts.

In 2010 he founded the "Bottega Finzioni" writing school in Bologna.
His latest novel L’inverno più nero (Einaudi, 2020) is a new investigation by inspector De Luca, set in Bologna in 1944.
