Mauerspringer International Meeting with Teatro Due Mondi

On April 4, live streaming from Faenza, the final event of the European project involving six companies

Final event of the European project Mauerspringer on April 4, from 03:00 pm to 06:00 pm, live streaming from Faenza (on YouTube user/teatroduemondi): the international meeting Mauerspringer - Forms of artistic expression and participation in street theatre, promoted by Teatro Due Mondi and curated by Cristina Valenti, Professor of History of the New Theatre and Social Theatre at the University of Bologna

MAUERSPRINGER, “walls jumpers”, is a project co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, involving six Street Theatre companies from five European Countries, committed to promoting dialogue and inclusion through creative and artistic experience: Compagnie du Hasard and Théâtre de l’Unité (France), Hortzmuga Teatroa (Spain), Theaterlabor (Germany), DAH Teatar (Serbia), and Teatro Due Mondi (Italy).

The meeting – which should have taken place in Bologna at the DAMSLab – aims at a ‘polyphonic’ reflection on Street Theatre as artistic expression, its relation with the public, and how it may promote mutual understanding and bring people closer together – how it can be, indeed, a way to ‘overcome walls’.
A role which will be even more significant in the near future, once out of the emergency we are living that obliges us to live in physical and social distance.

The meeting opens with the greetings of the representatives of the Institutions supporting the project realization: Mauro Felicori, Minister for Culture and Landscape of Emilia-Romagna Region, Massimo Isola, Minister for Culture and Vice Mayor of Faenza, Manuela Rontini, Regional Councillor of Emilia-Romagna Region.

To follow, Jumping Walls, Travelling Along Streets – A Dialogue Between Words And Pictures, an introduction by Cristina Valenti (Department of the Arts, University of Bologna), who will coordinate the contributions together with Federica Zanetti (Department of Education Studies, University of Bologna)

The guests are: Alberto Grilli (Teatro Due Mondi /Italy), Danièle Marty (Compagnie du Hasard / France), Jacques Livchine and Hervée de Lafond (Théâtre de l’Unité / France), Raul Cancelo (Hortzmuga Teatroa / Spain), Siegmar Schröder (Theaterlabor Tor 6 / Germany), Dijana Milosevic (Dah Teatar / Serbia), Krzysztof Żwirblis (Poland).
