Russia - “The Man from Moscow” by Alberto Cassani

The novel is presented abroad for the first time, just in Moscow, on March 13th

Alberto Cassani was born and lives in Ravenna, where he has always been involved in politics and culture.

The Man from Moscow is his first novel, an original Italian spy story and at the same time a journey in search of the lost ideal roots and the true image of the past.

The main character is Andrea Cecconi, a middle-aged lawyer, son and nephew of historical communist militants, converted without enthusiasm to the rituals of the provincial bourgeoisie. But a story told by his grandfather before he died awakes his curiosity: there is talk of funds to the old Italian Communist Party and of the role of a mysterious "man from Moscow".
It seems like a dead and buried story of the past, until one understands that something does not tally up and there is a trail leading straight to nowadays Russia.

The novel, edited by Baldini e Castoldi, is presented abroad for the first time on March 13th, at the Italian Cultural Institute in Moscow.
The author will attend.
