Indonesia - Luciano Pavarotti & Anggun in Concert

On November 9th, in Jakarta, event on the occasion of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic bilateral relations between Indonesia and Italy

On the occasion of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic bilateral relations between Indonesia and Italy, the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Jakarta organize a series of event for the whole year long.

In this framework, in collaboration with Aula Simfonia, a great concert featuring artists from the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation and the international singer Anggun with the Jakarta Simfonia Orkestra has been organized.

The project revisits Luciano Pavarotti’s philosophy, as the Maestro not only brought the world of opera to an enormous public, but also opened himself to cross-over, bringing different kinds of music under the large flag of ‘good music’.

The repertoire performed by the artists of the Pavarotti Foundation will be an enchanting journey through a selection of the Maestro’s most beloved opera pieces -such as compositions by Verdi, Puccini, Morricone- and worldwide known Italian and contemporary songs the Maestro sang with the greatest musicians from around the world.

Soprano Giulia Mazzola and tenors Lorenzo Licitra, Giuseppe Michelangelo Infantino, and Matteo Desole will be accompanied by the renowned pianist and a long-time friend of the Maestro, Paolo Andreoli and the Jakarta Simfonia Orkestra directed by Eunice Tong Holden.

As the highlight of the night, Indonesian-French pop singer Anggun will perform a virtual duet with the late Italian tenor M° Luciano Pavarotti.

Director of the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation Mrs. Nicoletta Mantovani Pavarotti will attend.
