Slovenia – “Bach Project” by Aterballetto

On July 16th, the dance company is on stage at the 67th edition of the prestigious Ljubljana Festival

Bach Project is an important step in Aterballetto’s new production purposes, oriented to multidisciplinary experimentation, which is expressed in this show by the exploration of the relationship between dance and music, between classical composition and its contemporary re-creation.

The evening opens with a masterpiece by Jirí Kylián, Sarabande, inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach’s music. It is a creation for six dancers with a fascinating circular structure that highlights its extraordinarily contemporary nature.

Also inspired by Bach's music, follows Domus Aurea, a creation for the entire company by young Italian talent Diego Tortelli, who ventures into a dreamlike world and into the meanders of human mind, investigating the concepts of construction, subsidence, destruction, rebirth.

Aterballetto is a much awaited guest of the Ljubljana Festival, which is “proud to welcome the Italian dance company, founded in 1977 and with an international reputation for remarkable artistic quality”.
